ILLUSTRIOUS CAR CLUB RULES

PROSPECT MEMBER (how to join)

  1. A prospective is required to attend 4 meetings consecutively.

  2. On the 4th meeting, members will discuss and vote on the prospects membership.

  3. A member must have an approved car before being voted in.

The Vice-President will conduct meetings and organize events.

 

ACTIVE MEMBERS

  1. You must maintain your car plaque ready or have an active project.

  2. Members without a plaque must work on their cars continuously.

  3. Meetings will be held at least every 2 weeks. Attendance is highly recommended.

  4. Dues are required every meeting. $10

  5. You must bring your car to a minimum of 4 events annually. (picnics or shows)

Meetings, cruise nights, and social events are counted.

The President will make the final call on membership.

 

PLAQUE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Traditional lowriders on wire wheels are required.

  2. A presentable paint job and interior.

  3. A complete set of glass and trim.

  4. A minimum of 1 major modification. (Hydraulics or bags, engine, sounds, undercarriage, etc.)

The Sergeant at Arms will make the final call on all cars and plaques.

 

BEHAVIOR

  1. All members will maintain a positive image and avoid any negative behavior.

The Club Members as a group are responsible for calling out violations.

 

MEMBERS ON LEAVE

-         A member can take a voluntary leave of absence from required club activities.

-          Any member that does not have a car is automatically on leave

-         Dues and event participation is not required.

The Secretary will monitor membership status and report to the President.

 

LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP

-         Members who do not report for more than 3 months automatically loses membership.

-         A person that loses membership cannot fly a plaque for 1 year

-         A person cannot fly a plaque or wear colors without membership.

-         A plaque can be sold back to the club or kept as a souvenir.

 

OFFICER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

All leadership positions require participation as an active member

 

PRESIDENT

-                Maintain a collective responsibility over the car club.

                (Accepts responsibly for the actions of the club)

-               Establish long term and short term goals

-               Serves as the ‘face’ of the club

 

VICE PRESIDENT

-               Substitute in the absence of the president

-               Preside over club meetings

-               Executes all events as planned

            (meetings, picnics, car shows, social events)

 

SERGEANT AT ARMS

-         Substitutes in the absence of the vice president

-         Responsible for orderly conduct of meetings and events

-         Distributes and collects club plaques

 

SECRETARY                                                            

-               Maintains club records and meeting notes.                                

-               Keeps membership records.                                                    

-        Make calls/texts to members.                                                   

 

TREASURER

-      Maintain financial records

-      Collects membership dues.

-      Conducts financial transactions.

All members are required to pay dues, attend events, and follow the club rules.

 

MEMBER

-         Plaqued members:                     Keep a car plaque ready

-         Active member:                         Work continuously to have a car plaque ready

-         Prospect member:                     Complete probations requirements

-         Members on leave:                    Attend events and communicates with club (no dues required)

-         Retired Member:                             A member who no longer attends events. Can keep plaque but                     

                                                                  not fly it. Can not join another club. (no dues required)

-          Dismissed Member:                       Any member who is dismissed or joins another club
