About the Club,

    Illustrious is an informal arena for lowriders to meet others involved in the culture while benefiting

from the collection of resources that each person brings to the group. It's based on voluntary participation

Very few things are considered mandatory. It's not a 'Family Car Club' but a 'Members Club' where the

group is guided by the members versus a group or one person. You customize your car at your pace

to accommodate your life outside of the club.

About the Chapters,

    Each chapter of the club is relatively independent of each other in terms of authority. The members

of each chapter creates their own set of rules and governing structure. Meeting times, shows attended,

mandatory events, and qualifications for membership vary among each chapter. What ever works for the

members is what is done. This allows the club to be flexible so it can adjust to the members needs rather

than the members changing to the clubs needs.

About the Members,

    The members of Illustrious have one thing in common, we are real lowriders! We don't need to be in

a club to be part of the lowriding culture. We are going to ride regardless of location or association. It's

part of who we are.  Each member has higher priorities outside of their car that include, family, friends,

school and/or work. The club exist for the member and not the other way around. The members establish

the rules.

About the Cars, 

    Our cars are built by the owner and not the club. Each car is an expression of the owner and therefore

there are few restriction by the club on how the cars are customized. In general, we build our cars from

stock and do a majority of the custom work.
